(60) Tarot for authors (techniques and spreads)
INTRODUCTION
If you ever wanted to write a book, your tarot cards can help you write a better one. But, if you have no intention of writing a book, these same techniques can greatly improve the quality, clarity, precision, and accuracy of every spread you cast. The point of this lesson is to continue your awareness expansion. These techniques are more mental gymnastics routines. They stretch your understanding and application of the cards in your hand. These techniques can be used with any well-designed oracle deck, but they are written and taught for the tarot.
In this video lesson we cover a few spreads and techniques using the original Star Wars movie (the very first one; not those abominations George "traitor to the Force" Lucas cobbled together from scraps of CGI and failed writing abilities in the 1990's). In hindsight maybe I should have used Harry Potter or a romantic comedy as an example. I had thought that everyone on the planet had seen Star Wars by this point (being the most iconic movie of modern history). Nonetheless, we break down a famous scene, the entire movie, and a main character using our cards instead of post-it notes or index cards. There is a lot to learn here on several levels. There was simply no way to explore the rich texture and depth of these techniques in one lesson, so I may hold a few extra lessons for those who desire to more completely master these techniques. That said, next week may well be the very last class of the core course material.
